No subscription, no account, no ads. Every purchase is covered by Apple’s refund policy. Spektral calibrates SPL against a reference meter, which makes it a practical monitoring tool, but it is not a substitute for a certified Class 1 or Class 2 instrument where statutory measurement is required.

Before you buy.

Will Spektral run on my Mac?

Yes, on macOS 14 Sonoma or later, on Apple silicon and Intel. It is native SwiftUI on Apple’s Accelerate framework, so even older MacBooks run a 4,096-point FFT comfortably at 60 frames a second.

Do I need a measurement microphone?

For accurate SPL, yes. Calibrate it with a calibrator, the sensitivity on its certificate, or the calibration file it came with. For the RTA, spectrogram and feedback, the built-in mic on your Mac or iPhone is fine for quick checks.

Is there a free trial?

The App Store doesn’t offer trials on paid apps, but every purchase is covered by Apple’s refund policy. If Spektral isn’t right for you, ask Apple for a refund.

Is it a subscription?

No. You pay once and own it, and updates are free. No account, no ads, no upsells.

Can I use it on my Mac and my iPhone?

They are two apps: Spektral for Mac at £64.99, and Spektral Mobile for iPhone and iPad at £14.99, one purchase for both. They work together: your iPhone streams its mic to the Mac as a wireless probe, for the RTA and the transfer function.

What does Remote Monitoring do?

It is a £19.99 one-time purchase in the Mac app that turns any iPhone you use into a monitoring station, capturing full RTA and SPL. Every site syncs to your Mac every 10 seconds through iCloud, with a satellite map and history for each.

Does it need the internet?

No. All the analysis runs offline. Only Remote Monitoring uses iCloud, your own, with no Spektral server in between.
